Why I created the brand Kimchi ½
I am proud to be half Korean, with my mother coming from Busan in South Korea, where she grew up with strong traditional values. She has always cared deeply for her family, believing that having enough to eat and wear is essential to a happy life. Through her cooking, she shared not only healthy and delicious food, but also warmth and love.
That’s why I created the brand Kimchi ½ — A simple way to share my Korean food as someone who is proudly half Korean.
The flavours and skills she passed on to me remain close to my heart. Inspired by her, I continue her path by preparing authentic Korean dishes such as kimchi, kimbap, seafood pancakes, glass noodles and a variety of side dishes. My hope is to share these foods with others, so everyone can enjoy comforting meals made with care, and feel both satisfied and full of love.
